Unit 10 post

:( I really appreciate how much help I got from all my peers and you Dr. M. If it wasn't for all of y'all I probably would have given up and not come back to this class. Y'all have really kept my spirits up about this class. I would tell someone if they were doing their first scientific paper, not to get behind not go anywhere without a computer and internet so that you don't fall behind.

Unit 9 Post

I gm going to answer a couple of the topics for this unit blog. Do you feel nervous, accomplished, or just plain tired? How do you feel about writing at this point? Has your idea of writing changed throughout the course? Really, before the computer crashed I had felt accomplished that I could actually complete so much in 8 day with little to no sleep, but then the computer went kaplunk!!! and then, I freaked out and gave up really didn't have a reason to get back into the class, but I sucked it up and came back. I know I can get this blog thing done but I don't think that I can go back through the whole project process.

unit 8 post

I feel that I will continue to blog to keep in touch with peers. I will use my blog to also start posting my poetry from now on. I think that if I have my poetry up somewhere that more people can read it I will get more feedback on some.

Unit 7 post

Having peers review your paper is a great thing because you get more than just a professional paper reader lol reading your paper. You get more comments about what it going on your paper and more help if there is something wrong. Even though I do not have a paper for my peers this time to review, in the past it had helped a lot.

Unit 6 Blog

Share what you have personally been dealing with the last six weeks

I have actually been dealing with not being able to get on the computer to do my work. I finally have time to get things done and something happens and I have to rush to leave and don't get it turned in.

Unit 4 Blog: How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?

School is pretty hard considering i just skated by in high school. If it wasn't for some of my teachers that were halfway strict and actually made us do things. But having an online school I don't have someone telling do this do that I have to tell my self to do it which is helping me to be independent.

Citing and the Internet

1. Based upon your reading on plagiarism, why do you think we need to cite our sources?

Citing our sources properly helps prevent plagiarism, which is a type of fraud and can have serious consequences.

2.
Does the Internet blur the lines of legally owned? Consider sites like YouTube and Wikipedia.

I think that the Internet does blur the lines of "legally owned", especially with some of the activity sites and informational sites like YouTube and Wikipedia. Both are great candidates. With Wikipedia anyone person can go on there and change any information whether it be fact or not. With YouTube, it has so many of the same things but from different people. you can make your own videos and what not on YouTube with any picture from another site and put music on the video or simply copy a video that someone has already made.

How plagerism has effected me!!!!

My junior year of high school we had the opportunity to write something, whether it be a poem, story, or just something written down about things that have effected us. I had worked on a poem for 3 months, then we were told that we could write something and it could be published. I turned in my poem to the English teacher in charge of the activity, which was my English teacher. Well that teacher left it out in the open for any and everyone to look at it. A few days later my teacher had called me to her desk and asked me if I had taken the poem off her desk, and at the moment I knew that someone had taken it. I found out that my poem was publish, but with someone elses name on it. I will never forget that day.

Being Part of big blog community.

I'm not exactly sure as to what im supposed to do for these assignments, but I'll do the best I can. Being part of a huge blog community is kinda scary because you do not know who is going to read what you are writing and who is going to be following you. I have a facebook and I was scared to start it because of all the stories there are about the crazy people and stalkers. I have had the facebook for a couple years now and I'm still scared to have people on there that I do not know. I have classmates from Kaplan on there, but that's as far as it goes with those I do not know in person.
